Open House set for community review and input of Springbrook pool master plan
The City of Alcoa announced today that a public open house will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the City of Alcoa Service Center located at 725 Universal Street, Alcoa, TN. City officials, along with the consultant team, Kimley-Horn of Nashville, TN, will be seeking comments on the draft concept master/vision plan. The proposed master plan is based upon previous public and staff comments from the initial public meeting and will be a guide for future use and amenities at the Springbrook Pool.
The Springbrook Pool is located at 636 Vose Road surrounded by the historic Springbrook community. The pool has been in operation since 1931 serving as a local and regional summer destination for families for many generations. The City and the Blount County Parks & Recreation Commission envision this facility to continue keep its unique character while adding new amenities.
The master/vision plan project is locally supported and funded by the City of Alcoa and Maryville-Alcoa-Blount County Parks & Recreation Commission.
