Mark Smith joins Cherokee Millwright as director of manufacturing
Cherokee Millwright and Mechanical is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Smith as director of manufacturing. Cherokee Millwright is a full-service millwright and mechanical company that provides services to customers worldwide and is a part of the Massey Group family of companies headquarted in Maryville and owned by Randy Massey.
Smith formerly served as the tooling and automation manager for Newell Rubbermaid. In his 21 years at their Maryville facility, Smith developed the department into a world-class machining, tool repair and automation design/build shop for the Newell Brands Writing Segment which includes products for Sharpie, Expo, Papermate and Prisma Color.

Smith is a graduate of Heritage High School and attended Tennessee Technological University where he studied Engineering.
Smith has been and continues to be very active in the community; he has volunteered with various charitable organizations over the years, including serving as Co-Chairperson for the Big BBQ Bash which benefits the Helen Ross McNabb Center. He lives in Maryville with his wife Donna Teffeteller Smith.
