Jack Helmboldt is president of DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. and the first American to lead the Maryville operations. Helmboldt is also a corporate executive director for DENSO Corporation’s worldwide network.
A Knoxville native, Helmboldt is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in industrial management. He has been with DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee for 30 years and helped establish the company prior to its 1990 production startup in Maryville.
The Maryville location is more than a $2 billion investment providing original high technology components to major automotive manufacturers. The company’s campus in Blount County features five manufacturing plants with 2.4 million square feet under roof – one of the largest DENSO operations outside of Japan. Key customers include Toyota, Honda, General Motors, Fiat Chrysler, Ford, Hyundai, and Subaru.
An active participant in many community activities, Helmboldt has worked with the Special Olympics, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Knoxville Jaycees and is a graduate of the Leadership Blount Class of 2004.
Helmboldt and his wife, Deborah, have three children – Taylor, Tarajan and Tonia.
