"I started in the mortgage business in 2000 and quickly realized what a great opportunity it would be to truly make a positive impact on peoples lives. The most rewarding aspect of my job is assisting somebody in buying a new home. I have served in several different capacities in lending and banking over the years but nothing compares to mortgage lending. I have been with United Community Bank since August 2016 and realized quickly that I have found my home." 

What's one interesting fact about you? 
"I have competed in several BBQ competitions and have won a few trophies along the way."

"I spent seven years in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., where I began my career as a real estate specialist. I earned my licensure in California and Nevada during my time in Lake Tahoe. After moving back to my hometown of Maryville, I received my Tennessee license in real estate and started working for this amazing company, Realty Executives Associates ." 

What's one interesting fact about you? 
"I am remodeling a 1942 cottage in Maryville on my own."

Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current position.
"Providing excellent customer service is something that I take pride in. I began serving our community, in the pest control industry, in 2011. A good friend of mine, who works at Rice, suggested I should sell cars. For five years, he would occasionally bring it up. I resisted because of the reputation the industry as a whole has garnered. It wasn't until I had an opportunity to watch him interact with a client that I discovered there is, at least one, dealership that will treat customers with the respect they deserve. Seeing that, and the fact that I was tired of crawling crawlspaces, helped me decide to make the move. I've yet to regret that decision." 

What's one interesting fact about you? 
"I'm an Eagle Scout. Literally."

"I began my career in journalism while still in high school at Heritage by working part time for the Knoxville News Sentinel. Later I studied photojournalism at UT-Knoxville and Texas Tech University before joining the US Army where I served as a Public Affairs Specialist (Photojournalist). Following my time in the Army, I completed a Master's Degree in Psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Today I utilize my skills and education to help small business owners promote their businesses using photos and video."

"I am a direct decedent of the first king of Sweden, Olof Skötkonung. Although this distinction might sound impressive, it confers exactly no tangible benefits."

"I have had to replace my wedding ring twice...once because I lost it while cave-tubing in Belize and the other time because I had to break my ring off my finger with a pair of vise grips after breaking my finger while playing flag football."

"After graduating from ETSU with my degree in marketing in 2015, I returned home to Maryville to start the job search. The hospitality industry came out of nowhere and was not my first choice of careers. I started out at the front desk at Hampton Inn, just to get my foot in the door, and eventually was offered the opportunity to become the sales manager in early 2016. I’ve been hooked since! In January of 2018, I joined the incredible sales team at the Hilton Knoxville Airport and couldn’t be more excited to continue learning more about the industry! Traveling and helping others have always been passions of mine and this career path has opened the doors to be able to do both." 

What's one interesting fact about you? 
"I was born and raised in Las Vegas. After moving to Tennessee in 2001, I continue to go back once, twice, sometimes three times a year!"

"My background is in healthcare administration. I worked for over 18 years for a healthcare cooperative negotiating and administering group purchasing contracts for hospitals and other healthcare organizations. Upon the closure of that organization, I entered the field of sales and started working as an account manager with A-Z. I work with a variety of customers helping them maximize their savings and streamline their office supplies and other workplace product lines procurement processes." 

What's one interesting fact about you? 
"I was fortunate enough to live all over the country when I was growing up, from Alaska to Florida, and several states in between. None were any more beautiful than East Tennessee."

Chrystal Fleenor

Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current position. "I began my journey in the hotel and hospitality industry in 2014 at a Hampton and have been hooked ever since. I started off as a Front Desk Team Member and quickly realized that this industry was one I wanted to make my career of. I attended Roane State Community College in Oak Ridge and graduated with my Business Management degree in 2017. During college I worked my way up the ladder and landed myself as an Assistant General Manager. I took a leap of faith in January 2018 and landed the Sales Manager position here at the Hampton Inn Knoxville-Airport and it's been the best move I've ever made. Although being new to Maryville and Alcoa area, I quickly learned the area and fit right in...it's like I've been here all my life. I aspire to be a General Manager of my own hotel one day. I love what I do day in and day out. I have met so many people from all walks of life in a short 5 years, but I hope everyone I met I was able to bring a laugh or a smile to them. I love knowing that I get to wake up and make a difference in someone's life!"

What's one interesting fact about you? "I collect vinyl records, love to go on road trips, volunteer with whatever I can and I am going to attempt my first time at gardening by myself this year."

I THEN TOOK AN ADVANCEMENT AS THE BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER IN DAYTON, TN. WHEN THE NEW CARE CENTER IN MARYVILLE BECAME AVAILABLE, I KNEW WOULD LOVE THE AREA, SO I TRANSFERRED TO THAT FACILITY. I WAS ABLE TO HELP WITH THE CARE CENTER FROM THE INITIAL OPENING WHICH WAS AN ADVENTURE. I AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT OUR FUTURE IN MARYVILLE."

Jessica Roberson Goin

Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current position. "Marketing and sales have always been my passion, because ultimately it is about how many people we help in this life that matters! I started at Treasure's Jewelers in December of 2004 at the age of 17 for only seasonal help!! I worked here throughout college while I earned my marketing degree!! I left for around five years and when my beautiful daughter was about six months old in December of 2012, I came back to help seasonally and I have been back since! I have watched this business grow by helping others!! We have been Blessed to expand our store by creating true relationships and we have so many customers who are like family to us!! We recently started hosting one-day events for businesses and non-profit organizations where they receive special discounts and we donate 10% of the profits to the non-profit organization of their choice!! These parties allow me to combine all of the things I enjoy the most - marketing, sales, and helping others!! Just as Zig Ziglar says "You Can Have Everything In Life You Want, If You Will Just Help Other People Get What They Want!""

"I am 2018 Ms. Tenneessee Conintental US. I love competing in pageants because it gives me an avenue to make a difference within my platform which is mental and emotional abuse."

What's one interesting fact about you? "I grew up in Oklahoma "way out in the country" on a cattle ranch where we kept 350+ head of cattle at a time. In this country town I attended a K-12 school and had 12 people in my entire 4th grade class!"

"I’m very involved in the community, having volunteered in various capacities for the Maryville Downtown Association, Leadership Blount, United Way, The Gate, New Hope, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Human Animal Bond in Tennessee (HABIT), Alcoa Kiwanis, and many more area nonprofits through the years. Russell and Abbott has been on the forefront of community involvement for several years, and when they approached me to join their team as an equipment replacement specialist, I jumped at the chance. I have always had a calling for wanting to improve people’s lives, and what better way to help people than by making them more comfortable in their home?"

"I can do over 100 impersonations, including celebrities, singers, and cartoon characters."

My career path at this time would find me staying in a branch setting, becoming a manager, and focusing on developing my team to help them meet their professional goals."

Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current position. "I spent several years in Oregon volunteering and cultivating my love of people and the nonprofit world. Not long after moving to Tennessee, I became introduced to the Children's Advocacy Center model and found my passion. What I also discovered was the beautiful, giving nature of our local community. I love being able to talk to people about the great work we are doing at New Hope to bring hope into the lives of children. The Ambassador Program is another opportunity for me to connect with our community in a meaningful way."

What's one interesting fact about you? "I have a strong aversion to butterflies. I once walked backwards through a 4 story aquarium to avoid room full of them."

"We vacationed in TN as a family when I was very young - I always told my parents when I was old enough I was moving here. The day after I turned 19, I put my clothes and my dog in my car and drove to TN!"

Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current position. " I joined CASA of the Tennessee Heartland part-time in September 2018, and started as the Blount County Program Coordinator in January 2019. I have had successful careers in both administration and human resources. I worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) for 33 years and for Nyrstar Tennessee Mines for 4 years. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Organization Management degree from Tusculum College and hold two professional certifications in human resources (PHR and SHRM-CP). I have been involved in a variety of non-profit and faith-based activities. I am currently a member of the Board of Trustees for the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge. I was a former board member of Family Promise of Knoxville. Additionally, I have participated in both local and foreign mission trips supporting children in need."

What's one interesting fact about you? "I have traveled to ten countries on four continents."

Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current position. "I started in the financial industry with Y-12 FCU until I joined The Mountain Press as the advertising director. I spent almost 16 years with The Mountain Press until my good friend Evelyn Sandlin called to recruit me for The Daily Times. I've always wanted to live in Maryville so I jumped at the opportunity to not only move to Maryville but work with someone I have admired throughout my career. Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current position. "Graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Development and Family Studies, I pursued a career is non-profit. I started at the YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley when I first moved to Knoxville in 2015. I was promoted to Violence Prevention Project Coordinator in June of 2016. I was responsible for the leadership and implementation of all areas related to the delivery of the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women grant including but not limited to; collaborative work with community partners, marketing, research, reporting, participant recruiting and project planning. My desire for a career focused on marketing and community relations became evident and I started working for TeamHealth in August of 2017."

What's one interesting fact about you? "I love cooking & baking, trying new foods and recipes!"

Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current position. "What started out as one man's journey through the ranks of the Coca-Cola warehouse/service departments, ended with him getting to serve his community, while fulfilling his passion and working for the finest IT provider this side of that side. I've been in the IT business for a decade now, and I've done just about all you can do. I've been a tech, a sysadmin, and a director. Now I'm on the sales/account management side of it, and it is the best thing I've ever had the privilege of doing."

What's one interesting fact about you? "I once had a solo onstage in Carnegie Hall."

Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current position. The master communication, Zig Ziglar, once said, "Stop selling and start helping" and that has been my motto in real estate sales. I began my real estate career in 1998 with CENTURY 21 Real Estate Group. I worked for 14 successful years before entering the nonprofit world as the the Director of Development with Blount County Habitat for Humanity. After 4 years with Habitat I rejoined the real estate world in 2016. In December 2018, CENTURY 21 Real Estate Group became CENTURY 21 Legacy. We are now part of the #1 CENTURY 21 office in the South East. I have a passion for our community, and it's success, and I'm blessed with a career that will allow me to share my passion with others.
