Peak Technical Institute Adds New Instructor to CDL Program

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – Peak Technical Institute (PTI), an educational center that offers condensed vocational training programs based in Maryville, Tenn., announces the addition of Randy Underwood as CDL instructor for its Commercial Driver Training (CDL) course.

In his new role at PTI, Underwood will be responsible for providing quality training to students in order for individuals to gain the necessary skills to drive and operate a commercial motor vehicle.

Underwood brings more than 20 years of experience in the trucking industry, including a background as a driver and dispatcher before serving in leadership and management roles such as project manager and customer service representative.

“We are pleased to have Randy join our CDL program staff,” said Greg Dotson, program director and lead instructor for CDL. “His experience and knowledge of the industry will aid in the creation of an optimal learning environment and ensure the success of our students.”

Prior to his experience in the trucking industry, Underwood served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years.
