Utilities
The cities of Alcoa and Maryville provide their residents with electricity, water, sewer and garbage pick-up. Blount County residents not within the Maryville/Alcoa city limits need to obtain garbage service offered through private companies or utilize the sanitary landfill. In some areas of the county, water is provided by South Blount Utility District. Fort Loudon Electric Cooperative also provides electricity. Gas for the area is provided by Atmos Energy. Telephone Service is provided by AT&T and Charter. Call the offices listed below for information pertaining to deposits and/or connection fees. Note for renters: Copy of lease agreement or rent receipt is needed.
