Late June Downtown Maryville There’s definitely something tasty brewing in downtown Maryville each summer at this craft beer celebration. Showcas- ing the area’s finest brewers, this multi-day event allows guests to sample great beer and food in addition to receiving a T-shirt and commemorative glass – all for one ticket price. Highlights also include the Hops in the Hills Craft Brew Crawl & Poker Run, during which buses take guests to local venues like The Casual Pint, Barley’s Taproom and The Public House on High. Mid-August Townsend Visitor Center, Townsend During this summertime specta- cle, professional balloonists take to the skies from around 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., lighting up the evening with the collective glow of doz- ens of colorful hot-air balloons. And that’s just the grand finale to an entire day’s worth of fun that gets underway at 3 p.m. with live bands and entertainers, activities (face painting, trampoline jump, crafts, etc.) for guests of all ages, food truck concessions, craft beer, a wine tasting and more.
