Jessica Belitz joined the Blount Partnership in April 2017 after serving as the community outreach coordinator for the Blount Memorial Hospital Foundation since 2015. There, she coordinated the activities of the Blount County Community Health Initiative, including assembling teams that addressed substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health suicide, teen pregnancy, safety, and increased healthy nutrition and exercise.
Prior to that, she served as the Foundation’s project manager for four years after first serving the hospital for two years as a public relations manager. Belitz began her professional career as a reporter with The Daily Times in Maryville.
The Maryville, Tenn., native graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in journalism and electronic media.
Belitz has earned numerous citations from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, the Tennessee Society for Healthcare Marketing & PR and the Society of Professional Journalists Golden Press Awards.
