Pigs and Politics Legislative Day Set for July 31

The Blount Partnership is proud to announce that the first-ever AT&T Pigs & Politics Legislative Day, will be held on Tuesday, July 31 from 4-7 p.m. at Alumni Gym on the Maryville College campus. Additional sponsors include: NOVA Copy, Paine, Tarwater and Bickers, LLP, Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority, Willis North America, Vulcan Materials, Personal Care Choices and Northwestern Mutual.
This is a chance for local and state politicians to mingle in a summer pig roast setting with the public and business community – no speeches, just a lot of BBQ, beer provided by Smoky Mountain Brewery, live music and networking. Elected officials will be invited to participate in a dunking booth and pie tossing with money raised going to support a charity of their choice.
Additionally, Tennessee Department of Tourist Development Commissioner Susan Whitaker will kick off the event.
